EDISON, N.J . -- (Business Wire) -- MajescoMastek, an enterprise solutions provider with a focus on insurance and financial industry clients, today announced it has named information technology veteran Mitesh Desai as senior vice president and chief marketing officer.

Desai joins the software solutions and services company at its Edison, N.J. headquarters and brings more than 20 years of experience from Fortune 500 companies, including Compaq and Nortel Networks. He will be responsible for driving brand awareness for MajescoMastek in the U.S. and globally.

Desai most recently was the senior vice president of channels and business development at MetaSolv Software, Inc., a telecommunications software provider recently acquired by Oracle Corp.

Prior to that, he was founder of Strategenus Consulting, LLC, a strategic technology consulting company based out of Dallas. Mitesh also led the global marketing and business development for Compaq's telecommunications industry vertical as vice president, global telecom solutions, prior to starting his consulting practice.

Before joining Compaq, he spent more than 15 years at Nortel Networks where he held several global marketing positions in North America, Europe and Asia.
