Improving Patient Care

MajescoMastek along with a leading provider of communications solutions, partnered in a complex, multi-year engagement project which is being delivered by the new Department of Health agency NHS Connecting for Health.

The aim of the programme is to bring modern computer systems into the NHS to improve patient care and services.

Over the next ten years, the National Programme for IT will connect over 30,000 GPs in England to almost 300 hospitals and give patients access to their personal health and care information, transforming the way the NHS works.

MajescoMastek is supporting the partnership by delivering key aspects of the program.

One of these is the NHS Care Records Service (NHS CRS) which is central to the NHS reform. This will transform the way health and social care information is managed, by giving health and care professionals on-demand access to patient information. This was driven by:

A growing need for improved healthcare which is growing more complex to organize and deliver
The diagnosis and treatment of conditions becoming increasingly specialized
The fact that paper-based records cannot support the increasingly more complex administration

As part of the overall initiative, MajescoMastek has worked alongside the client to play a major role in delivering various elements of the engagement.

For patients, this will result in an overall improved quality and convenience of care.

MajescoMastek has built up considerable equity in the UK Public Services domain through engagements for service providers such as the NHS. A large part of our technical and domain capabilities are focused towards this sector, and our work with such partners continues to reinforce this commitment.
